At Back 2 Basics Nutrition a holistic healthy eating approach is followed. Here I help families get back to the basics of eating. We achieve this through whole foods, and establishing uncomplicated, natural, and nourishing eating habits. No fad diets here, no magic shakes, and no disordered dieting. We will be setting your child up for a lifetime of healthy eating habits and behaviors.
When working with children it’s also very important to keep things positive. Self-esteem and body image are a critical part to a happy healthy childhood. I do not set weight related goals with your child, but rather set and encourage healthy lifestyle goals.
I have been trained in Motivational Interviewing, and practice family centered counseling with positive reinforcement. Nutrition education should be fun, counseling sessions should stay positive and your family’s health is the priority.
